Jimmy Carter served as the 39th president of the United States. His latest book, "A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence, and Power" (2014), was recently released. Carter received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002, making him the only U.S. president to win the award after leaving office. While in office, Carter created both the Department of Energy and the Department of Education. After leaving office, Carter began the non-profit organization The Carter Center. Carter is also heavily involved with Habitat for Humanity.
